The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Diabetes and Metabolism Research Center (DMRC) is dedicated to advancing diabetes research, education and patient care. Through our innovative research using personalized health care, we are working toward the prevention, and ultimately the cure of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Our vision is to prevent and cure diabetes and find innovative solutions to help combat the rising tide in obesity.
The DMRC’s research team has been a leader in improving patient outcomes by using advances in medicine to deliver the most effective treatments that are personalized to the individual patients’ needs. We have been at the forefront of developing different modes of insulin delivery and islet cell implantation devices, as well as ways to improve methods of prevention and management of diabetes.
